There could be an upside to the Manny Ramirez suspension in L.A . The Dodgers will save paying him more than $7 million while he sits out 50 games, which could provide the scratch to trade for another big-time pitcher before the July 31 deadline. "... The Giants and Dodgers have 12 games remaining in their season series, but these are the only three while Ramirez is on suspension. He's due to return July 3; the Giants play the Dodgers on Aug. 10-12 and Sept. 11-13 in San Francisco, and at Dodger Stadium on Sept. 18-20. "... Billingsley is 4-0 with a 3.21 ERA in 12 appearances (eight starts) against the Giants. "... Zito, who faces the Dodgers for the third time this season, has thrown three consecutive quality starts.
