SAN DIEGO (AP) - The San Francisco Giants signed infielder Dallas McPherson to a minor league contract on Sunday.
McPherson will spend 10 days in extended spring training at the Giants' facility in Scottsdale, Ariz., before reporting to Triple-A Fresno.McPherson led all minor leaguers with 42 homers last season for Triple-A Albuquerque, an affiliate of the Florida Marlins. The 28-year-old has a .245 average with 18 homers with 45 RBIs in 128 major league games over parts of four seasons.
