In his first career start against the Diamondbacks last weekend, Randy Johnson limited his former teammates to one hit in seven shutout innings. He'll try for his 297th career victory when he makes his first start as a visitor at Chase Field on Saturday. Johnson is 65-34 with a 2.94 ERA in 126 career starts at the Diamondbacks' retractable-roof home. He's started more games there than any other ballpark except Seattle's long-demolished Kingdome (136 starts). "... The offensively challenged Diamondbacks have a .294 on-base percentage, the worst in the majors. The Giants are next worst at .299. "... Arizona isn't using Thursday's off day to skip a starter, which is good news for the Giants . They won't have to face Dan Haren, who is 1-3 despite a 1.38 ERA that ranks behind only the Mets' Johan Santana in the National League. "...
