"Of all the teams I played for, San Francisco sits the deepest in my heart," Kent said. "It was hard to express that when I was in L.A. or Houston, but (the Giants) had a bigger impact on my career than any other organization I played for."
Kent played the most and enjoyed the most success as a Giant, topping 100 RBIs in each of his six seasons and winning the 2000 MVP award. The second baseman complemented Barry Bonds and helped the Giants reach the playoffs three times and the 2002 World Series.
"That was when I really started to play baseball," Kent said of his time as a Giant.
Kent spent six of his 17 seasons in San Francisco and collected nearly half of his homers (175) and RBIs (689) there.
