The Giants beat the Dodgers 7-5 in 13 innings Sunday. It was the last Giants-Dodgers game until Aug. 10 in San Francisco.
That's a long time for bad blood to be simmering. The Giants weren't happy with Casey Blake's gestures in the Dodgers' dugout after he homered off closer Brian Wilson to tie it in the 12th. Casey emulated Wilson's usual post-game ritual that he does after earning saves.
He crosses his forearms to honor his faith and his late father.
In the winning clubhouse, Wilson looked completely bummed and teammates were upset at Blake, suggesting his act was insensitive and disrespectful to Wilson. A friend had sent Wilson a photo of Blake mocking him, and the news was all over the talk shows.
In the end, the Giants won the game and the series -- the first series the Dodgers lost at home all season, the first they played without Manny Ramirez.
Blake handed Wilson a blown save, but Wilson got the win with a 1-2-3 13th inning.
The teams don't play again for three months, but it seems the Giants won't forget Sunday.

Casey Blake homered off Brian Wilson to tie the score at 5-5 in the 12th, and Randy Winn hit a bases-loaded, two-run single in the 13th to break the tie. Wilson pitched a perfect bottom of the 13th, and the Giants went 4-3 on their trip through Chicago, Denver and L.A.
