To, he's the man.
The Giants beat the Nationals 9-7 on Sandoval's game-ending, three-run homer in the bottom off the ninth.
In the seventh, Sandoval appeared to have hurt himself running the bases, not a good sign for a team who's relying heavily on the 22-year-old to be the No. 3 hitter.
"The guy, he has no fear," Giants manager Bruce Bochy said. "He's one of the guys you want up there with the game on the line."
Sandoval was trying to stretch a double into a triple but collapsed after rounding second base. He was tagged out, and he stayed on the ground for a few moments, a signal to teammates that he could be hurt.
Sandoval was OK. Luckily for the Giants.
GIANTS 9, NATIONALS 7: The Nationals led 7-6 when Pablo Sandoval hit a game-ending, three-run homer to win it for San Francisco. The Giants clinched the series win -- they're 6-0 in home series -- and have won 15 of 21 games. The Giants led 5-1 but blew the lead.
