San Francisco Giants Notes, Quotes 2009-04-27
--RHP Matt Cain was burned again. He was on target for his third victory, having allowed one run in seven innings in Phoenix. But in the ninth, the Diamondbacks tied it when closer RHP Brian Wilson gave up three runs. Cain is a touch-luck pitcher who last year had a 3.76 ERA, 20th best in the NL. But he was 8-14. He had the second-lowest run support in the majors (3.14 runs per game).

--LHP Randy Johnson's seven walks Saturday were his most since July 25, 2000 against St. Louis. His career high is 10. He was pulled after 3 1/3 innings, his quickest hook in two years. "I'm not going to psychoanalyze and dissect everything," said Johnson, who was pitching in the Diamondbacks' park for the first time as an opponent. "I've played this game long enough. I've had a lot of bad games."

--SS Edgar Renteria has eight RBIs in his last five games after driving in just one run in his first 12 games. Renteria signed for two years and $18.5 million in the offseason to give the Giants more offense at the position. Last year's Giants shortstops had no homers and 36 RBIs.

BY THE NUMBERS: 28 -- Consecutive at-bats in which switch-hitter Emmanuel Burriss went hitless from the left side. He broke the string Sunday.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "Overall, everything went pretty well except for me showing up to the ballpark." -- Randy Johnson, after issuing seven walks and lasting just 3 1/3 innings against the Diamondbacks on Saturday.
