San Francisco Giants Notes, Quotes 2009-05-06
--RHP Tim Lincecum is 3-0 with a 1.80 ERA in his past four starts. In his first two starts, he gave up seven runs in 8 1/3 innings. So he has his groove back. Overall, he has 50 strikeouts to 12 walks in 38 1/3 innings. At Wrigley Field, he's 3-0 in three career starts, yielding four runs in 21 1/3 innings (1.69 ERA).

--CF Aaron Rowand snapped his 0-for-20 funk with a two-run double in the eighth inning Tuesday. It was his first hit since the third inning April 29, a single against the Dodgers. It was his second extra-base hit in 16 games. He's hitting .228 in the second year of a five-year, $60 million contract.

--LHP Barry Zito has three straight winless starts despite giving up three earned runs in 20 1/3 innings. Sunday, he yielded two hits over seven scoreless innings and retired 15 straight in one stretch. "I'm not worried about personal accolades or who gets the wins," Zito said. "It's not important for me. If it was, I'd probably be frustrated."

BY THE NUMBERS: 10-4 -- Giants' home record. Far better than their 2-7 mark on the road.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "I like this team right now. We were 2-7. Now we're at .500. That's something to be proud of." -- Barry Zito, on the on-the-rebound Giants.
