--RHP Tim Lincecum, who has never lost to the Dodgers, got a no-decision after giving up four runs (three earned) in six innings. He struck out eight batters and walked one. Lincecum had won three straight starts, including a 9-4 decision over the Dodgers on April 29.
--CF Aaron Rowand, whose defense with the Giants hasn't mirrored his Gold Glove work in Philly, made a diving catch in right-center to rob LF Juan Pierre in the ninth. If the ball had gotten by him, 3B Casey Blake would have scored from first base with the winning run. Rowand had shaded Pierre to left-center. --2B Emmanuel Burriss might soon become the leadoff hitter, replacing LF Fred Lewis, manager Bruce Bochy said. Burriss had four hits Sunday and is hitting .287, a major leap from his .176 mark on May 1. He leads the team with nine steals.
