San Francisco Giants Notes, Quotes 2009-05-18
--RHP Brian Wilson earned his ninth save with a scoreless ninth inning, a good sign for Wilson after he lost games Thursday and Friday after entering the final inning and turning tie scores into deficits. They're his only two losses of the season.

--LHP Randy Johnson, two wins shy of 300, won't reach the milestone in Seattle, his old baseball home. That was a given once he was removed in the fifth inning Saturday in a loss to the Mets. Now, the earliest he could reach 300 is May 27 against Atlanta. That's if he beats the Mariners in his next start, Saturday.

--1B Rich Aurilia didn't start Saturday's game because of a tight left hamstring, but he hit a pinch RBI double in the sixth inning. Friday, he snapped a 0-for-16 funk with a two-run single. He has been sharing first base with lefty-swinging Travis Ishikawa. He didn't appear Sunday.

BY THE NUMBERS: 15-0 -- Giants' record when they score first, the best mark in the majors. No other team is undefeated when scoring first.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "Nothing against Colorado or the Dodgers ... after watching the Mets the last two nights, and then pitching against them, I think they're the best lineup I've seen this year." -- LHP Randy Johnson, who fell to the Mets (he was pulled in the fifth inning) to remain two wins shy of 300.
