--RF Randy Winn had four hits, including a game-deciding, two-run single in the 13th inning. Winn is hitting .243, a drastic jump from .219 one day earlier. Manager Bruce Bochy has stuck with Winn rather than give RF Nate Schierholtz a prolonged look because Bochy seemed confident Winn, a .300 hitter the past two years, would eventually hit.
--LHP Randy Johnson has done his best pitching in home games, and home is where he'll make his next start, Monday against the Nationals. His ERA in three home starts is 1.89, while it's 11.37 in three road starts. Johnson is 2-3 and three victories shy of 300. MEDICAL WATCH:
OF Andres Torres (strained left hamstring) went on the 15-day disabled list April 28.
RHP Joe Martinez (concussion, hairline fractures in skull) went on the 15-day disabled list April 10. He is unlikely to return before late May.
RHP Sergio Romo (sprained right elbow) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 27. He won't be able to pitch before mid-May.
LHP Noah Lowry (left forearm surgery in March 2008, left elbow surgery in September 2008) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 27. In mid-April, manager Bruce Bochy said he hoped Lowry would able to return at some point this season.
